The focal axis of this showroom is directed toward a feature wall reception area. Internal design elements of this space incorporate simple plaster forms in conjunction with the Wovin Wall® system distributed by Instyle to compliment the structure of this once industrial warehouse space.
Structural engaged pier wall columns and adjoining ceiling slab beams are obscured via a series of plaster portals which support lighting and acoustic services. The perimeter glazing and central window of the feature reception wall are inspired by the work of architect Tadao Ando within his Church with the Light Ibaraki, Osaka 1987-89. As with the earlier designed Sydney Showroom this project benefited from close collaboration with design literate clients. Building contractors Scott Development and John Greenwood provided an excellent level of service and collaborative input toward a successful cost-effective result.
